Bass week day 2

Wet and wild (and that was Lynn after the gin!) The kids finshed 3 out of the top 4 with peter second, gareth third, Ben fourth, and great performances from elliot, Michael, and Alex. Eddie Brown

Sadly we heard last night that Eddie died last Friday. Eddie was a very active sailor at the club who had recently 'retired' from dinghy sailing but was about to make a comeback in Graduates. We don't know much else but when we find out funeral arrangements we will let everyone know.

Autumn Series Format Change

At the beginning of the year, the Sailing Committee decided to reduce the number of races in the Autumn series to two, starting at 11am. The idea behind this was to encourage those sailors that don't like to cold weather to sail as it was a shorter day and to help the OOD to fit less races into the shorter days. Richard Estaugh

It is with great sadness that we've heard that Richard Estaugh has died. Richard was good friends with many members of Bolton Sailing Club and supported our 24 hour race team. Richard was one of the best known and most successful dinghy sailors this country has seen and he will be sorely missed. As well as being a keen sailor himself he also set up and ran Speed Sails for over 25 years helping thousands of others within the sport. Further information…
