On Sunday 31st July, Ironman UK returns to Bolton. Due to Belmont Road being closed northbound to Belmont Village, and very restricted (if any) access southbound from the M65, the General Committee has made the decision to cancel racing for the day. It is sad news that we announce the death of former Bolton SC member Shirley Speight. The Speights were members of Bolton SC for many years with a toe in the Merlin, GP14, and Junior fleets. The thoughts of all the member go to the Speight family in this difficult time. Shirley's funeral will be held on Wednesday 1st June at 2PM at Christ Church, Chorley New Road, Bolton BL1 5AH
