Well done to all who sailed in the “fun” team for this years West Lancs Yacht Club 24 Hour Race. Also thanks to everyone who came to help and support the team over the weekend, I’m sure this year we definitely had the loudest supporters club at the event! Especially big thanks to Ian Moodie who lent us his boat and Dennis Shevelan who did the timekeeping for the whole event, ably assisted by Geoff Benson on Saturday.

We were working our way gradually up the rankings getting to 30th at one point but unfortunately after a couple of capsizes the spinnaker pole system failed and we had to sail the last 7 or so hours without one.
