The 2010 Junior 12 Hour Race is just over a week away on the 26th June and all eyes are on the weather. Why? We are trying to decide whether we can enter 2 teams or 3. Yes, you read that right – 3 teams. With the phenomenal turnouts on a Friday, serious consideration is being given to 3 teams so that everyone who wants to sail gets the opportunity. It will all depend on the weather and the final decision will be left to the morning of the race.
We are entering a ‘crack’ team to try and improve on last years 3rd place, a second ‘cracked’ team of those Pirates who have been travelling around the Junior Travellers circuit this year and a third team for everyone else. This will hopefully mean that everyone who turns up with their sailing gear will get a go.
The forecast at the moment is looking like quite light winds on Wednesday but we’ll be keeping a close eye for developments. If you want to sail then please let me know and I can build up potential team lists.
