Thanks to all those who made it to the sailors meeting on Sunday evening.
In a very positive meeting (mainly due to the rainfall!) the various options of the committee were put to those attending in order to gain some feedback.
The overwhelming decision was that we should carry on racing for as long as possible but that it was down to the individual to decide if they are willing to brave the slippery sand/mud on the beach. Volunteers came forward to help put some chain on the beach so members can berth their boats nearer to the water. This will be done at 10am next Sunday (6th June).
From Sunday 6th June all the senior fleets will start together followed by the Juniors and the Novices.
The rainfall we’ve had over the past few days has stopped the water going down any further and may help it to come up a little. Unfortunately, there is a forecast of hot sunny weather for July and August.
