Windy, wet weather, cracking competition, broken mast!

Andrew | November 27, 2007 | 4:54 pm

It was another one of  those cold, wet, windy Sundays this Sunday just gone. The wind was good for us chunkier sailors in fast boats. I managed to win my first race in my new Phantom! I think I may also have got a second place in the second race. It seemed too windy though in the third race, especially for Andy Flitcroft’s Vareo mast which decided to fold itself in half on the run down from Stream to Dam! Oops, better get the Supernova back out!

We’ve had some excellent close racing over the last few weeks in the Autumn Series and with only a couple of cold wet Sundays to go why not come and join in.

BSC in Sailing News

Andrew | November 16, 2007 | 12:43 pm

I’m still struggling to get hard copies of the excellent free “Sailing News” newspaper, but they also create an online version. This issue has an excellent article about our triumph at the 24 hour race and also a write-up from the GP14 Nationals.
