Well done Mike!

Andrew | October 3, 2007 | 10:16 am

Mike Senior and his crew Chris sailed their 49er in the sail for gold regatta at Weymouth last weekend. They came 6th overall which is not bad considering some of those above are on RYA funding. Although the racing was due to start on the Wednesday they didn’t actually start until Saturday due to strong winds gusting to 30knots. On Saturday they had  winds of 4 to 7 knots and the organisers were keen to get 4 races in so that they could run a medal race on Sunday which was for the top ten. On Sunday the winds were 18-20 knots which is more like 49er weather when they could both twin wire.
